A seminar has been conducted by management sciences department on Habits of Effective Job Seekers on 10th December, 2020. The resource person was Mr. Armaghan Qureshi. Mr. Armaghan Qureshi has been associated with Asset Management Industry for over 10 years. He is currently serving as an Assistant Vice President – Business Development at Lakson Investments and also a Member of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), United Kingdom with BSc. Hons in Applied Accounting from Oxford Brookes University, United Kingdom.

The resource person highlighted the issues and challenges that a fresher might face in searching job. Further, he also discussed the desirable skills and qualities of the perfect job candidate, and how to create an effective resume. In the end, the speaker also answered the queries of the students pertaining to the requirement of today’s market.

A One-day seminar on Career Counselling was organized by Department of Management Sciences on 30th November 2020, at Sir Syed CASE Institute of Technology. Mr. Naveed Amjad was the guest speaker. He’s chartered accountant and GM Legal and IR at Kohinoor Textile Mills Limited.The purpose of the seminar was to facilitate student’s potentials to equip them with functional knowledge, values and attitudes, desirable habits and skills needed by them to cope up with the changes in their environment. The guest speaker highlighted the issues that students normally face in the field of business and marketing, how to overcome them and what is the scope of business studies nowadays. The guest speaker also answered the queries of the students regarding career selection, scope of business studies and the challenges faced in hiring process.
