Dr. Memoona Rauf Khan

Dr Memoona Rauf Khan is currently a senior academic and Independent Consultant with both national and international experience in the field of Applied Economics, Quantitative Methods and Research Methods. In CASE she teaches Research Proposal Development, Research Methodology and Quantitative Methods to MEM and PH.D classes. Apart from advising several PH D students, she is giving research advice on writing and methodology to many more. With more than 8 years of teaching experience, Dr Memoona has taught Research methods, Microeconomics and Business and Competitive Economics, and Statistics/Econometrics and Mathematical Economics at the undergraduate and the post graduate levels. She also has 17 years of experience in economic analysis and research in International development organizations and the Public Sector in Pakistan. She has published a number of internationally referred articles in reputed conferences/and books.

Work Experience

Dr Memoona Rauf has built up expertise in development economics, as well as socio-economic quantitative and qualitative research and evaluation, and program and project design and management. Professionally she has utilized and honed her specialized skills Due to a unique blend of professional analytical and quantitative skills and excellent English language skills, she has written many analytical reports for the World Bank, ActionAid, as well as for USAID, MSI, ADB etc. Dr Memoona has held Senior Consultancy positions in Management Systems International, USAID funded projects and with Semiotics-Asian Development Bank funded projects, as well as key upper management positions in Pakistani academia and in the International Development sector. She was Chairperson, Economics within the International Islamic University and Research Consultant in the NUST Institute of Management Sciences, Natural Resources Economist in the World Bank and Senior Program Manager in National Productivity Organization and ActionAid Pakistan. she has also held positions in the Pakistan Agricultural Research Council and Ministry of Food and Agriculture, Government of Pakistan.
