Dr. Ali Sajid Sheikh

Dr. Ali Sajid is a dynamic faculty member of CASE School of Engineering. He has vast teaching experience in different Institutes and is extensively involved in Human Resource Development in both, public as well as private sectors. He has conducted various consultancy works and has supervised more than three-dozen studies on Pakistani Industry. He has on his credit numerous National level achievements and has also been awarded with Tamgha-i-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan.

Educational Qualifications

Masters and Ph.D. in Engineering Management from The George Washington University, Washington D.C, USA.
BS Mechanical Engineering, University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore, Pakistan

Work Experience

Dr. Ali Sajid has taught in various US universities and has worked at World Bank, various multinational and multiracial organizations of Washington D.C. He is also member of the "American Society for Quality" and "Pakistan Engineering Council." Since last eleven years he has been teaching at various Islamabad based Institutes including College of EME & MCS, FJWU and NUST. As founding faculty, he held various academic and administrative assignments at NUST Institute of Management Sciences (NIMS), including, Head of Department, MBA and PhD Coordinator and Director Student Affairs. He was also the founding Chairman of Engineering Management Department at CASE ( Center for Advanced Studies in Engineering). He has also been an Advisor to the Planning Commission, Government of Pakistan on Quality Management and Productivity. Increasing Productivity in White/Blue Collar Environment, Good Governance, Application of Quality and Project Management in Public Sector/Industry are his main areas of interest. He is also a national level trainer and consultant to multinationals. He is extensively involved in the training of "Management of Change, Industrial Management, Productivity Management, Project Management, Human Resource Development, Leadership, Quality Management and Competitiveness, and Engineering Management" etc. at public and social sector organizations and multinational corporations.
