Shoab A. Khan (Ph.D)
Shoab A. Khan did his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology; Atlanta, GA. Dr. Khan’s areas of specialization are Digital Signal Processing, Digital Design and Communication System. He has 12+ years industrial experience in companies like Scientific Atlanta, Picture Tel, and Cisco Systems. Mostly, he worked on multi-DSP-based systems. As head of R&D group at Communications Enabling Technologies, he headed the team that executed a pioneering work of System on Chip (SoC) design. He is one of the five recipients of National Education Award 2001 in the category of Outstanding Services to Science and Technology. In recognition of his selfless efforts, achievements and valuable services in the field of engineering, he has been awarded with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz in the year 2009.

Sheikh M. Farhan
Sheikh M. Farhan did his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering and MS in Computer Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan in 1996 and 1998, respectively. He has over 12 years of industrial experience and has worked for Siemens, Communications Enabling Technologies Inc., eTel and Center for Advanced Research in Engineering, Pakistan. He has worked in different domains of technology including VoIP, ASICs, FPGAs, embedded systems, digital signal processing, digital communications, cryptography and quality assurance. He will be completing his Ph.D. degree from University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila, this year.

Muhammad Umer Munir
Mr. Muhammad Umer Munir received his B.E. Electrical (Telecommunications) Engineering form National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST), Pakistan in 1998. He obtained his M.S. in Computer Software Engineering from NUST in 2004. He has over 6 years of teaching and research experience, and has worked as faculty member in Bahria University and NUST, Pakistan. He served the department of Computer Engineering, NUST as a Lecturer for three years. He is a member of IEEE, USA and IEEE Computer Society, USA. His research interest includes Biometrics, Pattern Recognition, Digital Image Processing and Computer Vision. He is pursuing his Ph.D. in Computer Software Engineering from NUST.

Omer Abdul Latif Afridi
Omer A.L. Afridi did his Bachelors in Computer Sciences from University of Arid Agriculture, Rawalpindi in 2003. He has over 6 years of software development experience and has worked for Center for Advanced Research in Engineering (CARE) and Sir Syed CASE Institute of Technology (SS-CASE-IT). He is an accomplished software engineer specializing in Object-Oriented Design and Analysis with extensive experience in full life cycle of the software design process including requirements definition, prototyping, proof of concept, design, interface, implementation, testing and maintenance. His technical expertise include Relational Database Systems development, N-Tier application development, Image Processing, unit module systems level testing and threading.

Moazzam Hussain
Moazzam Hussain did his Bachelors in electrical engineering from University of Engineering and Technology Taxila and Masters in Computer Engineering from Centre for Advanced Studies in Engineering Islamabad. He has over six years of industrial experience in the field of embedded computing. He has worked with PalmChip private limited and NESCOM Pakistan; where he worked in the areas of System on Chip (SoC) design, prototyping and verification, high speed serial interfaces like SATA and SCSI, high speed lossless compression and decompression, hardware design for machine vision applications, multilayered PCB designing for avionics applications and code optimization on VLIW processors.

Rabia Anwar
Rabia Anwar did her Bachelors in Computer System Engineering from National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan, in the year 2008. She has worked for NADRA and is currently serving Center for Advanced Research in Engineering as a design engineer. She has one year industrial experience in Digital Image Processing domain. She has two accepted research publications regarding fingerprint feature extraction. She is also pursuing her Masters degree in Computer Engineering form Sir Syed CASE Institute of Technology (SS-CASE-IT), Islamabad

Rabia Arshad
Rabia Arshad did her Bachelors in Computer Engineering from College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan in the year 2008. She has one year industrial experience and has worked for Telenor and Center for Advanced Research in Engineering, Pakistan. She has mostly worked on biometrics fingerprint recognition systems in digital image processing domain. She has three accepted research publications regarding fingerprint feature extraction and enhancement areas. She is also pursuing her Masters degree in Computer Engineering from Sir Syed CASE Institute of Technology (SS-CASE-IT), Islamabad.

Javeria A. Khan
Javeria A. Khan did her Bachelors in Computer Engineering from Bahria University Islamabad in 2008. She holds internship experience at National Institute of Electronics working on the hardware for large scale electronic displays. She is currently working at Center for Advanced Research in Engineering as a member of the hardware team.

Farhad Mughal
Farhad Mughal did his Bachelors in Computer Engineering from NUST College of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering, Rawalpindi, Pakistan . He holds internship certificate from Center for Advance Research and Engineering (CARE). His final year project was “OFDM Waveform for a Software Defined Radio”. His areas of interest are Digital Image Processing, Digital System Design and Digital Logic Design. He worked on the implementation of OFDM Waveform for SDR in Fixed Point C on TI's Code Composer Studio.

Usama Bin Aslam
Usama Bin Aslam did his Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from Center for Advance Studies in Engineering, Islamabad, Pakistan. He holds the certificate for an internship at Center for Advance Research and Engineering (CARE). His final year project was “Design and Implementation of Decision Feedback Equalizer for Single Carrier Cyclic Prefix”. His areas of interest are Digital Image Processing and Digital Logic Design. He worked on implementation of WISHBONE compliant architecture while working for CARE.

Fayyaz Rafiq
Fayyaz Rafiq did his Bachelors in Electronics Engineering from University of Engineering & Technology, Taxila, Pakistan in 2008. His final year project was "Gesture Recognition Based image Tracking System". His areas of interest are Digital Image Processing and Digital Communication.
